How do I download my statement?
  • Bank of Georgia: Internet/Business banking → your account → statement for the month → export as Excel (.xlsx). Excel keeps the most detail; CSV also works.
  • TBC Bank: Internet/mobile banking → your account → statement for the month → download PDF (TBC does not offer Excel export).
  • Credo Bank: MyCredo → your account → statement → export as Excel (.xlsx).
  • Wise: web app → account → statements → Transaction history (PDF). Choose "Incoming" direction if offered. Amounts convert to GEL automatically at each date's official NBG rate.

Why totals from this tool differ from just summing your statement

Two things make a naive spreadsheet sum wrong, in both directions. First, card payments land in your account net of acquiring commission, but Georgia's 1% is owed on gross turnover — so summing credited amounts under-declares. This tool reads each transaction's details and restores the gross amount, for bank POS credits and Wise fees alike. Second, statements are full of credits that are not income at all: loan disbursements, transfers between your own accounts, currency conversions. On real statements we tested, blindly summing the credit column overstated declarable turnover by up to 13× — and simultaneously missed hundreds of lari of commission gross-up.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Georgia’s 1% small business tax?

Individual Entrepreneurs with Small Business Status pay 1% income tax on gross turnover instead of the standard 20% on profit, as long as cumulative turnover stays under 500,000 GEL for the calendar year. It is granted by the Revenue Service on application — registering as an IE alone is not enough.

How do I file the monthly declaration on rs.ge?

Log into your taxpayer cabinet on rs.ge, open the monthly income tax declaration for small business, enter your cumulative and monthly income split by payment type, and pay the tax due. The deadline for both filing and payment is the 15th of the following month; if the 15th is a weekend or holiday, it moves to the next working day. A nil declaration is mandatory even for months with zero income.

What are lines 15 and 17–21 on the declaration?

Line 15 is your cumulative income from January 1 including the reporting month. Line 17 is the month’s income and equals the sum of lines 18–21 on the cash method: line 18 is cash register income, line 19 is POS terminal income, line 20 is income received to your bank account, and line 21 is everything else (Wise, PayPal, Payoneer, crypto, barter). This calculator produces exactly those numbers from your bank statement.

What happens when I cross 500,000 GEL in a year?

Under Article 90 of the Tax Code, once cumulative turnover exceeds 500,000 GEL (700,000 GEL for wine tourism and agritourism businesses), the 3% rate applies from the first day of the month in which you crossed the threshold until December 31 — the entire crossing month is taxed at 3%, not just the amount over the line. Exceed the cap two calendar years in a row and the status is revoked from January 1 of the third year.

Which banks and file formats are supported?

Bank of Georgia statements as Excel (.xlsx) or CSV, TBC Bank statements as PDF (TBC offers no spreadsheet export), Credo Bank statements as Excel (.xlsx), and Wise transaction-history PDFs. Wise amounts in USD or EUR are converted to GEL automatically at each transaction date’s official National Bank of Georgia rate. If your BOG export is a PDF, re-export it as Excel — it parses far more reliably.

Is my bank statement uploaded anywhere?

No. The statement is parsed entirely inside your browser using JavaScript — it is never uploaded to a server, and we could not see it if we wanted to. No account or email is required either.

Why is my declared amount higher than what actually hit my account?

Tax is owed on gross turnover — bank and card-acquiring commissions are not deductible. When a customer pays 40 GEL by card, your bank might credit you 39.04 GEL and keep 0.96 GEL as commission; the declarable amount is still 40 GEL. The same applies to Wise transfer fees. This calculator recovers the gross amount from the statement’s transaction details automatically, which naive “sum the credits” tools miss.

Does this tool file the declaration for me?

No. It computes the exact numbers for each line, which you copy into rs.ge yourself. It also does not replace an accountant for complex situations — VAT registration, mixed income types, or unusual contracts.

What about VAT?

VAT registration is a separate obligation triggered when turnover exceeds 100,000 GEL in any rolling 12-month period — a different clock from the 500,000 GEL calendar-year small business cap. VAT registration does not cancel Small Business Status, and if you are VAT-registered, your 1% base is calculated net of VAT.
